Plumbing gets decided before the walls do
Plumbing is one of the few trades where the drawing stage and the site stage cannot drift apart without real cost. Pipe routes, riser positions and drain lines have to be fixed before block work goes up and before plaster covers them — once that happens, moving a line means breaking into finished work instead of adjusting a sheet on paper.
