Every space we design starts from how it will actually be used, not from whatever look happens to be popular this year. Materials, layouts and lighting are chosen to age well and hold up under daily life, so a home or a commercial fit-out still feels considered — and still functions the way it should — long after the trend that first inspired it has moved on. This is the thinking behind every project Al Hashim Associates designs across Karachi, from a single-family home to a full retail fit-out.
Architecture, interior design and construction under one team
Most clients in Karachi end up managing three separate relationships on a single project — an architect, an interior designer and a contractor — and absorbing the gaps between them. We keep all three under one in-house team, so the same people who draw a space are accountable for building it. That single point of accountability removes the back-and-forth of design intent getting lost between the drawing board and the site, and it's why our residential, commercial and hospitality projects consistently finish looking like what was originally designed.
A process built around design review
Every project moves through the same disciplined sequence: an initial conversation to understand the brief and budget, concept design, detailed working drawings, and then on-site construction or fit-out through to final handover. Design is reviewed at every one of these stages, not just signed off once at the start, so problems are caught on paper instead of on site. This is standard practice on our architecture, interior design, renovation and turnkey construction projects, whether the scope is a single room or a ground-up building.

Our scope covers homes, offices, retail stores, cafés and restaurants, and hospitality fit-outs, with MEP and finishing works handled in-house alongside design and build.
